The Bob Jackson custom frame shop this year celebrates 60 years of making superbe quality hand-crafted cromoly frames in Leeds England. The Vulcan model features the classic Bob Jackson features: curly chain and seat stays, ornate hand-cut lugs, and free multi-color custom paint, with Reynolds 631 tubing with 531 seat & chainstays. Cast horizontal dropouts are fittted with single eyelets in front and double eyelets in the rear. This frameset is built to fit long reach 47-57mm brakes which allow tire widths up to 28c along with fender clearance. The seatpost size is 27.2 and fittings include: adjustable cable stops on lower headtube (For STI's, Ergo's & Bar End Shifters), 2 sets of bottle fittings, rack eyelets on the rear seatstays, a pump peg behind the headtube, a chain hook on the inside of the seatstay, brake cable stops on the lower L/H side of the top tube, and brake bridges are tapped and threaded for fenders. Fitted with a front derailleur mount unless otherwise requested. The fork is 1" threaded (or 1" threadless on request.) Each frame is built to order, usually requiring about a 4 to 6 week turn around time. The Vulcan can be built with straight seat and chainstays on request.
